Notes

On the card

Cold syrup on hot pie!! Otherwise it goes soggy.

Use the thin fyllo from the Greek shop, not the thick one.

  • Make ahead: the syrup keeps for a week in the fridge.
  • Storage: keeps for 3 days covered at room temperature. Don't refrigerate, because the filo goes chewy.
  • "A spoon of honey" on the card has been read as 1 tablespoon.
